Develop a better understanding of the chemicals available to help manage turfgrass
on the golf course and appreciate the importance of pesticides in protecting the
course from myriad pests. You'll also learn the hazards of common pesticides used
on golf courses and the appropriate measures to take to prevent problems as well
as what to do in the event of an accident.
This course is made up of three units, each requiring approximately three hours
to complete. Each unit contains learning objectives, text reading materials and
a 20-question examination. You'll work independently but may use the text or any
other written materials for reference. After exams are completed, they are mailed
to GCSAA for grading. You must achieve 70 percent or better on all exams to successfully
complete the course. Any exams receiving a score lower than 70 percent will be returned
to you for retaking.
