About the instructor
Jack Faulk is the NPDES Pesticide Permitting team leader at US EPA Headquarters in Washington who has over 25 years’ experience working with EPA water programs. Prior to EPA, Faulk worked for Science Applications International Corporation in Virginia with the majority of his time devoted to supporting EPA programs. For the past two and half years or so, he has focused on developing the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, or NPDES, pesticide permit program, working with a wide range of stakeholders. Faulk has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech and unfortunately for golf superintendents he is a digger rather than a picker on the golf course, but he indicates he does always replace his divots or fill them with sand.
