Howard Reedy, 76, died Feb. 21, 2006. Mr. Reedy, a 31-year member of GCSAA, was superintendent at Valley View GC in Middletown, Ind., and Edgewood CC in Anderson, Ind., before moving to Muncie (Ind.) Elks CC. He retired in 1991. He later returned to work at Valley View, retiring last April. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Jay, in January, and is survived by two sons, John Wayne and Donald Charles; a daughter, Sheila Kay; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his wife, Mary Louise Reedy, 251 S. 12th St., Middletown, IN 47356-1143.
John Howell Hagan, 69, died Feb. 8, 2006. A 33-year member of GCSAA, Mr. Hagan began his career as a superintendent at Vestavia CC in Birmingham, Ala. After six years there, he spent six years at River North CC in Macon, Ga. In 1980, Mr. Hagan became superintendent at Augusta (Ga.) CC until 1987. He worked briefly at Ocala (Fla.) G&CC before moving to Sarasota, Fla., in 1990. He was the first superintendent at Rosedale G&CC in Bradenton, Fla., and worked there until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Hagan is survived by three daughters, Melanie Allen, Memorie Stelter and Melissa Eby; seven grandchildren; and his wife, Janice Hagan, 2418 S.W. 20th Court, Ocala, FL 34474.
