A new line of zero-turn mowers are now available from Bush Hog. Bush Hog’s Estate Series features its HydroGear ZT 2800 transaxles for more power to the unit’s drive wheels. Electric clutches rated up to 175 foot-pounds of torque and spindles with 13⁄16-inch spindle shafts also come standard. Bush Hog’s Commercial Series mowers include structural steel-built frames, durable cast iron spindles and blades that deliver 18,500 fpm blade tip speed. The Professional Series mowers offer front axles that pivot to reduce scalping and deck wear, 2,900 psi relief valves and a self-adjusting Warner MagStop clutch with up to 200 foot-pounds of torque. A member of the 700-foot-pound energy class and with an impact frequency of 2,000 bpm, the hammer includes enclosed housing to protect its power cell, eliminate side plate bolts and reduce noise levels. A recoil isolation feature protects the carrier from reflective forces, and an ultra-high blow rate enables greater productivity. Designed as an attachment for a Caterpillar carrier, the machine’s two-position hose mounting is built to optimize hose routing. A fourth flange with more tapered, rounded edges has been added to the AirSoft’s design, and a center shaft has been stiffened for a more consistent fit and easy insertion and removal. Available this fall on both machines, the electronic hydraulics offer a simplified control system with fewer components and a hand-held controller that’s mountable in the cab or on the side of the machine. The controller, a mini-central processing unit, is fully programmable and controls all functions including belt speed and direction, raising and lowering of the machine, spinner speed and option speed.
