Ricky D. Heine, CGCS, GCSAA’s 71st president, was confident about his career
path at a young age. Even when a high school science teacher told him he was “too smart” to pursue turf management, Heine kept his eyes on the prize, a determination that has led him to the top leadership post in the association.
