GCM's Ask the Experts

On the road again
GCM staff members are hitting the road this month, and you’ll be able to follow their experiences on the magazine’s blog, From the Desk of GCM. We’ll be in Roanoke, Va. for SandTrapper’s Bunkers 360 event with the Virginia Turfgrass Association, in Augusta, Ga., for events surrounding the 2008 Masters and in Washington D.C. for National Golf Day, and you can check out reports from all of those events by visiting the GCM blog.

Thank you, drive through
If the high price of fuel is driving you to explore alternative fuel options for your golf course’s maintenance equipment, then you’ll want to check out “Do you want fries with that? Using vegetable oils as diesel fuel replacements,” one of this month’s webcast options through www.gcsaa.org. You can get more information and register for the webcast by visiting www.gcsaa.org/education/webcast/webcast.aspx.

Help wanted
Whether you’re looking for your first job in the golf course management industry or just looking for a change of scenery, a good place to start those searches is at the Jobs section of the GCSAA Web site. You can find information on writing better cover letters, spice up your résumé or browse job openings through the ERS job posting system. To find that and more, visit www.gcsaa.org/jobs/jobs.aspx.
