More from Morley
The letters of Col. John Morley, the winner of the 2009 Old Tom Morris Award, offer plenty of insight into the man who is credited with founding what would become today’s GCSAA. As a supplement to this month’s profile of Morley (“An overdue thank you,” Seth Jones, Page 58), GCM’s blog — From the Desk of GCM — will feature some of these letters in December. The first of these letters will appear Dec. 1.

Silent auction
Bidders looking for a sneak preview of the items that will be available through the 2009 Golf Industry Show Silent Auction can visit http://auction.golfindustryshow.com/auction/xcauctionpro.asp to search through the listing of products and services, which is updated daily. You can also register for the auction, which begins online Jan. 5.

Education on the Web
A trio of educational opportunities are available for superintendents in
December as a part of GCSAA’s Webcast Series, which is presented in partnership with Syngenta Professional Products and The Environmental Institute for Golf. For a listing of topics, times and costs, visit www.gcsaa.org/education/webcast/webcast.aspx.
