GCSAA is excited to introduce the first digital edition of Golf Course Management. GCM is partnering with Advanced Publishing to bring readers this new technology. You'll have two options for viewing – one that takes advantage of the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in and one that requires only a Web browser. This format allows you to flip through pages, search the entire issue by keyword, e-mail articles to colleagues and click on “live” links to connect directly with advertisers, authors and other sources. In this issue: In the business of golf course management, a superintendent’s maintenance facility is his castle. And when that castle is well-appointed, functional and comfortable, the positive effect it has on the men and women who work there can be significant. In this issue of GCM, our senior staff writer Terry Ostmeyer begins a recurring series of stories on some of the industry’s most interesting maintenance facilities and the stories behind their creation. Also, we examine how golf courses can keep the cash flowing during winter months when golf just isn’t an option.
