Federal judge blocks WOTUS rule
Last Friday, a federal judge in North Dakota blocked the Clean Water Rule, authored by the EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers under the Clean Water Act, from taking effect in 13 states. It is not immediately clear whether the injunction reaches beyond those 13 states. The EPA says it does not.

43-year-old student wins top award in 2015 Scholar's Competition
Sixteen awards, totaling $30,000, were given to students studying turfgrass management, as part of the 2015 Scholars Competition. Scott Watson from Rutgers University won the top honor, the Mendenhall Award. The GCSAA Scholars Competition is administered by the EIFG.
