Grass elected 2016 GCSAA president
Peter J. Grass, CGCS at Hilands GC in Billings, Mont., was elected GCSAA president at the association's annual meeting Feb. 11 in San Diego. Bill H. Maynard, CGCS at the CC of St. Albans in St. Louis, was elected vice president; and Darren J. Davis, CGCS and superintendent at Olde Florida GC in Naples, Fla., was elected secretary/treasurer. Elected as directors were Kevin P. Breen, CGCS, and Rafael Barajas, CGCS. John Walker was appointed by the board to a one-year term as director. Continuing to serve the second year of their two-year terms are John Fulling, CGCS, and Mark Jordan, CGCS. John O'Keefe, CGCS, will continue on the board as immediate past president.
Delegates approve revisions to Class A member standards
GCSAA delegates voted Feb. 11 to revise Class A member standards at the Annual Meeting in San Diego. The vote also involved amendments to the bylaws, which included a new definition of Class A and renaming the Superintendent Member class to Class B.
