2008 Excellence in Government Relations (EGR) Award recipients announced
A 2008 EGR Award was presented at the Golf Industry Show in Orlando to Michael Maffei, CGCS; Peter McDonough; and Richard Staughton, CGCS, for their exceptional commitment to government relations in the area of advocacy. All three recipients were recognized for their exemplary individual and grassroots advocacy work addressing water and pesticide issues at the local and state levels of government. 2008 Chapter Seminar Selection underway
Looking for education in your area? How about bringing education to your local chapter? The 2008 chapter seminar selection process is well underway, but there is still plenty of time to sign your chapter up for a regional seminar. Currently, Web site changes to the seminar library are in progress, so it's temporarily unavailable. However, Brian Dick will be happy to help you with your seminar selection.   GCSAA Request for Proposal process deadline March 3
Are you interested in becoming involved with GCSAA Education? Have you been to a great seminar recently and think it would benefit all superintendents? Submit a request for proposal or share this with someone you think should teach for GCSAA. The Request for Proposal process for new seminars has just opened and will close on March 3, 2008.   2009 Call for Presentations is now open! Deadline March 7
Do your members have knowledge and innovations to share? It's a New Year and we are already thinking about the New Orleans GCSAA Education Conference in 2009. Don’t miss the opportunity to share the GCSAA Call for Presentations with your members. The Call is available online on the GCSAA Web site. The deadline for presentation proposals is March 7, 2008.
