Membership dues deadline: February 28
Membership application and approval process: Membership applicants must submit written application showing evidence to the executive committee that theirqualifications comply within classification guidelines of the association. Must have endorsement of two Class A members in good standing and be actively employed. Members elected by two-thirds vote of the executive committee.
Newsletter: Front Nine news, published quarterly; also publish monthly flyers
Annual meeting held: Business meeting in March and October
Election of new officers: October
Meetings held: Second Thursday of every month March through October
Activities with chapter meetings: Dinner and golf outing with monthly meeting
Employment referral service: Post open positions in classified area of newsletter/flyers
Educational seminars hosted: Host a yearly pesticide seminar with qualifying education points*; educational speaker scheduled at every monthly meeting.
Trade shows hosted or co-sponsored: None
Scholarships offered: Provide scholarships to students preparing for career in golf course management. Association awards three $1000 scholarships per year. To be eligible, an applicant must be sponsored by current member of NWPGCSA, Inc.; be in at least second year of college of turf related school; submit scholarship application; have minimum two years golf course experience; letter of recommendation from personal reference; and submit golf superintendent's report. Selection made by committee of three Class A members, not serving on the board.
Research projects: Currently helping to fund Dr. Wakar Uddin's Anthrachose study.

* Affiliated chapter education programs are eligible for either education or service points through GCSAA. Affiliated chapters are encouraged to submit an application and receive pre-approval for their educational offerings. |
