National Championship

National Championship

Saturday, Feb. 6 – Sunday, Feb. 7

Presented in partnership with The Toro Company

Put your game to the test against the best in the business in the GCSAA National Championship at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West. A senior division has been added this year for those ages 50 and over. Whether you are vying for the overall championship title, or the new title of senior champion, this two-day 36-hole stroke-play event will prove which superintendents have the best game in the business. The National Championship will be capped at the first 100 entrants, and you must have a verified handicap index not exceeding 5.0 to participate. Play begins each day at 8 am with first and 10th tee starting times.

The reigning GCSAA champion, along with champions from the last five years, will receive an annual invitation to participate in the renowned Trans-Mississippi Golf Championship, where PGA TOUR professionals such as Jack Nicklaus, Ben Crenshaw, Dean Beman and Bob Tway, among others, have carried home the championship trophy.

About the Greg Norman Course

Greg Norman CourseAccomplished golfers will test themselves at the same course that co-hosted the 2006 and 2007 PGA Tour's Pre-Qualifying Tournament. Once a prehistoric ocean bed 40 feet below sea level, the Greg Norman course features a target-style layout with emerald-green fairways, crushed white-marbled bunkers and shark-blue waters. Vibrant wildflowers are a stunning contrast to the surrounding crescent of terra cotta mountains, creating a golf experience like no other.
