Controlling anthracnose is more than just spraying fungicides. It requires good cultural practices, such as providing adequate fertility and irrigation quantity, adjusting mowing heights and frequencies, rolling, topdressing, and using plant growth regulators to reduce seedhead formation and improve stress management, as well as utilizing proper chemical control strategies. In this webcast, Jim Murphy, Ph.D., and Bruce Clarke, Ph.D., and their graduate students will discuss the latest research that has been used to develop the most current set of best management practices for the control of anthracnose on annual bluegrass greens.
