About the instructor
Michelle DaCosta, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Plant, Soil and Insect Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology and her doctorate in plant biology from Rutgers University. DaCosta’s research interests focus on drought resistance strategies and reducing winter injury potential of cool-season grasses. She is a member of the New England GCSA chapter.
