Innovative Superintendent Session I

Innovative ideas and techniques for your facility presented by your peers! This session provided innovative ideas on what you do with your Stimpmeter, building a professional/personal website, communication techniques for your membership, modifying physical properties on existing greens and hosting a golf course open house at your facility.

Innovative Superintendent Session II

An opportunity to discover the innovative topics that are shaping our industry! This session featured five superintendent presentations on a variety of topics including self-inflicted motivation, good old-fashioned animal control, using a greenhouse to enhance you and your facility, sand bunker renovation techniques and using vegetable oils as diesel fuel replacement.

You Asked for It...You Got It!

Developed from member feedback on their current challenges, this session included the four hot topics of the season covering wetting agents, course conditions for everyday play, bunker renovation, and foliar fertilization.

Coffee Talk with the Experts

In this session, a panel of agronomic experts addressed some of the biggest topics in turf management.

In The Moment…The State of Public Golf

Three speakers from the public/municipal golf arenas covered several current challenges, including what to do when your budget's gone bust, promoting public golf and balancing golfer expectations with maintenance costs, and what it is really like being a municipal superintendent.

Assistant Superintendent Session

Four assistant superintendents covered innovative practices that you can implement at your facility including topics on leadership roles, interviewing tips and a visual improvement program.

Career Forum

This session, presented in conjunction with CMAA, offered insight into what makes a general manager tick and how to transition from superintendent to general manager, from the perspective of both the superintendent and general manager positions.
