Need help convincing your employer that this is a must-attend event for you? The following will provide you with a starting point to justify the reward vs. the expense of this opportunity.

• Establish goals and be prepared to explain what you would bring back to the course.
  Such as:
  • How attending the education conference seminars and sessions will hone your skills.
  • Why it's valuable to talk to exhibitors face-to-face.
• Make a list of quantifiable objectives, verify all objectives are attainable and realistic and determine a specific timeline in which all objectives will be met. This chart will assist with this process.
• Discuss the opportunity for others from your facility to attend. The NGCOA and CMAA annual education conferences will be held in conjunction with the GCSAA Education Conference and Golf Industry Show. Consider your owner or manager attending with you.
• You will receive 1.5 education points for participating in the Full Conference Package. These points can be applied toward application or renewal of Class A membership or the prestigious CGCS classification.
• You've got nothing to lose. GCSAA is so confident that you will be completely satisfied with your 2008 conference and show experience that we will refund your registration fee if you are not. Following the event, simply send a letter explaining why you weren’t satisfied to GCSAA Registration; 1421 Research Park Drive, Lawrence, KS 66049 by Feb. 15, 2008. GCSAA will gladly refund your entire Full Conference Package or Trade Show Only registration fee directly to the original payor.
