Rick Reilly kicks off GIS for Syngenta

With 1300 of the company’s best customers in attendance, Syngenta’s Green Carpet Premiere kicked off the Golf Industry Show Wednesday night at SeaWorld Orlando.

The event in included visits from a two-toed sloth, an entertaining and vocal sea lion, and of course, Sports Illustrated’s Rick Reilly.
This was the fourth year for the even, which has previously featured golf course architect Pete Dye, Olympic gold medalist Rulon Gardner, and CBS announcer David Feherty.

Reilly, who has a regular column Sports Illustrated talked about his experiences caddying for golf’s greats and not-so-greats in preparation for his book, Who’s Your Caddy.

The program also featured a video of Reilly playing Denver country Club with superintendent Doug Fisher as his caddy.
