Clubhouse Solutions Center features spa development

Events and activities in the Clubhouse Solutions Center will focus on successful operations inside the clubhouse facility at a golf course or club.

On Thursday and Friday, WTS International conducted a series of presentations on spa and fitness facilities. The spa is an up and coming trend that more and more clubs are considering to provide added value for their members. A fully-equipped, efficiently designed and managed spa facility can promote overall wellness among club members, and can support membership and revenue growth.

Among considerations are: creating the optimal atmosphere, maximizing space, and handling retail sales and day-to-day operations. But the first consideration must be, is a spa facility even feasible?

The presentations helped attendees assess the prospective size and scope for a spa facility, understand the potential user profile and market competition.

They focused on a timeline development, selection and training of qualified personnel, creation of complete spa and wellness menus, retail product selection and merchandising plan, staff job descriptions, Standard Operating Procedures, marketing and promotion plan, equipment finalization and procurement, and preparation for the opening.

Today, during Team Day, entegra/ICS presented an innovative live demonstration on the kitchen stage highlighting a cooking technique that saves time and money in food preparation and presentation.

Tomorrow, the American Culinary Federation Culinary Team USA is scheduled to perform, with educational cooking and equipment demonstrations. Among the subjects: creating high quality “to-go” meals; establishing events tied to food such as “Wine & Nine” and new cooking innovations.
