LESCO joins The Institute's Platinum Tee Club

Lesco Inc. has made a donation of $5,000 to the The Environmental Institute for Golf, the philanthropic organization of GCSAA), qualifying it for The Institute's Platinum Tee Club

Jeff Rutherford, CEO of Lesco, and Steve Vincent, vice president of golf, presented the $5,000 check to GCSAA CEO Steve Mona today during the 2007 Golf Industry Show.

The Platinum Tee Club is the giving club for organizations that contribute a minimum of $5,000 annually to The Institute. Lesco is recognized at the Governor's Club level for donors that have contributed between $50,000 and $99,999 since 1987. Lesco contributed to GCSAA's 75th Anniversary celebration, The Institute's Annual Fund, the Golf Industry Show Silent Auction and the “Investing in the Beauty of Golf” campaign. Lesco also made a substantial purchase of GCSAA gift certificates to give back to their customers for their loyalty and support. The gift certificates can be used for continuing education, the Golf Industry Show or donated to The Institute.

“The evolution of The Environmental Institute for Golf over the past 50 years represents the continued commitment of everyone taking part in the game of golf to respect and care for the environment," said Vincent. "Through The Institute's work, we protect the natural resources entrusted to us for golfers to enjoy today and tomorrow. Lesco respects and appreciates this work and makes this donation to help The Institute continue this important work.”

"We welcome Lesco as a Platinum Tee Club member of The Environmental Institute for Golf," said Steve Mona, GCSAA CEO and Institute trustee. "This generous donation represents LESCO's commitment to environmental stewardship."
