E-Z-GO vehicles now equipped with Kawasaki engine

E-Z-GO says its MPT turf maintenance vehicles and Shuttle personnel carriers are now equipped with a Kawasaki gas engine delivering superior power, efficiency and reliability.

The 13-horsepower, 401-cc Kawasaki engine is offered exclusively on E-Z-Go’s MPT 800 and MPT 1200 vehicles and the Shuttle 2, Shuttle 4, Shuttle 6 and Shuttle 2+2. The single-cylinder engine runs at low RPM, creating less noise and wear while extending the motor’s lifespan. It’s also compliant with federal emissions standards and meets or exceeds those set by the California Air Resources Board.

Other features and benefits include:

  • Outstanding fuel efficiency and operational range
  • Easy maintenance and service
  • Excellent acceleration, power, hill-climbing and cold-starting ability
  • Cyclonic air filter
  • 16 mph top speed

"We’re excited to offer this new engine on our turf maintenance and personnel carriers, which deliver the power, fuel economy and dependability demanded by their users," says Kevin P. Holleran, president of E-Z-GO. "Golf course and grounds maintenance professionals, managers of private clubs and resorts, airport personnel, and operators of large commercial and public facilities can get their work done more efficiently and effectively thanks to the new engine, while our re-powered Shuttles provide a quicker, quieter ride than ever." Laser Link announces special pricing on SmartSticks

Laser Link Golf is offering a new reflector program with the patented SmartStick reflective flagstick at the PGA Fall Expo Aug. 25-27 in Las Vegas.

Under the program, courses will be able to purchase SmartSticks for the same price as regular, non-reflective flagsticks.

"Laser rangefinders are the new must have equipment for golfers, and SmartSticks are the new must have equipment for golf courses," said Rob O’Loughlin, president. "If you have anyone using a laser to measure distance at your club, you owe it to them to look into the SmartStick, especially now that the price is equal to a regular stick."

According to the company, nearly 2,000 clubs around the country are already using Laser Link reflectors, and several PGA sections and state golf associations have adopted their use during tournament rounds. Contact www.laserlinkgolf.com.
