Virginia GCSA executive honored
Virginia Society of Association Executives has given its Award of Excellence to David Norman, Executive Director of the Virginia Golf Course Superintendents Association, for service and dedication to the profession of association management and to VSAE.
As the highest honor VSAE can bestow upon one of its active members, the CEO Award of Excellence criteria ask that the candidate possesses a high degree of integrity and professionalism, a record of success and achievement in association management and has a record of consistent leadership and service to VSAE.
Norman has served many positions in VSAE from president, board member, committee chair and committee member. He is a proactive member, dedicated volunteer and good friend to Active and Associate members.
David, as quoted from his nomination forms, has "proved over and over his dedication, integrity and loyalty to VSAE and its members. Not only being past President of VSAE, but also his dedication to events, mentoring new members and his honesty to all of us. … He would provide any service to make sure our members are taken care of. I don’t know of one person who would ever say that he did not give 100 percent to VSAE and its members. He welcomes everyone and brings them into our family."
