A pioneer of fertigation and superintendent of the poa-free Bent Creek CC in Lancaster, Pa., Loke has mentored 30 now-superintendents. For his work, he was named one of three winners of the GCSAA Distinguished Service Award.

  • By the age of 17, Oscar Miles, CGCS, had moved from caddy to grounds crew member to head greenskeeper at Cedar Crest CC in Quincy, Ill. A graduate of the second class from Penn State's turf management program, Miles is a recipient of GCSAA's 2008 Distinguished Service Award.
