Thavy Un joins BASF Turf & Ornamentals

BASF has appointed Thavy Un as marketing manager. In her new role, Un will focus on developing marketing strategies for turf and ornamental markets, as well as on planning and program development. Her responsibilities will also include overseeing financial operations, forecasting and production in collaboration with manufacturing, regulatory, formulation and product labeling groups.

Previously, Un held several positions within BASF’s agricultural division, including global marketing manager for fungicides and plant growth regulators, and global marketing research analyst.

Agrium welcomes Nelson as marketing manager

Agrium Advanced Technologies has appointed Ben Nelson as marketing manager of reacted products.

Nelson will be responsible for promoting Agrium's fertilizer products.  He has worked in a number of industries, with eight years of progressive experience in financial and strategic analysis.

Prior to joining the Advanced Technologies team, he served for two years as manager of corporate development and strategy, with Agrium’s corporate office in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  He has also worked as senior analyst with The Capital Group Companies, Inc. and as senior financial analyst for The Keith Companies Inc. and has experience in corporate strategy and development with TXU Corp.

Reinders Inc. continues to grow

Reinders Inc. has added eight new sales representatives to serve the Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois markets.

Dale Parske is the new western region sales manager in the soft goods business group.  He brings more than 35 years of industry experience in sales and golf course management.

Jeff Schmidt is a territory manager responsible for sales and product support in the west metro and outlying areas of Minneapolis.  He has 18 years of industry experience, including six years as an assistant golf course superintendent.

Scott Gilbertson is a territory manager for turf and aquatic sales and product in Minnesota and western Wisconsin.  He has 19 years of industry experience, including five years as a golf course superintendent.

Bill Gauwitz, CGCS,  is a territory manager for golf in east central and southeast Minnesota as well as west central Wisconsin.  He has been a certified golf course superintendent for 20 years and a member of the GCSAA for 32 years.

Mark Robel is a territory manager for golf sales and product support in southeast Wisconsin.  He has worked for various golf courses for the past 21 years including 18 years as an assistant superintendent and three years as a superintendent.  He has been a member of the GCSAA for 17years.

Tim Keating is a territory manager in northern Illinois.  He has more than 20 years of industry experience.

Bruce Woehrle is a territory manager working with golf courses in the Chicago metro area.

Bob Hauser is a territory manager in the aerator & irrigation business group responsible for the residential/commercial and golf markets in the Chicago metro area.
