Syngenta upgrades GreenCast

Syngenta Professional Products has launched a newly redesigned and enhanced GreenCast information service.

The online portal offers users free access to information intended to help golf course superintendents make more informed agronomic and business decisions. The enhancements will help educate superintendents about pest management through an improved library, podcasts/video, easy-to-use soil temperature maps and more.

One of the major new enhancements to GreenCast is a library of more than 100 pests.  This library offers information on biological, chemical and structural control methods of managing pests.

Additional enhancements include:

  • Soil temperature maps
  • 30-year-disease-average charts by geography
  • A customizable planning tool that provides information about user's location and treatment area.
  • Pest alerts
  • E-learning modules

GreenCast users can customize the site to display only the tools and resources they choose for their operation. In addition, the site has specific pages dedicated to the golf, lawn and landscape and ornamental markets so industry professionals can find information relevant to their respective markets faster.  Registration is free.

Standard Golf introduces log and branch tee markers

Standard Golf Co. has introduced two new tee markers that can help maintain the natural beauty of any course.  The log and branch tee markers come in the shape of a log or a branch and easily blend with the natural environment.

The branch marker is 9 1/2 inches long, and the log marker is 4 1/2 inches.  Both measure 4 inches in diameter. Durable, heavy-resin construction allows the tee markers to withstand years of inclement weather conditions on any course.

The easy-to-handle markers are available in a variety of colors, including red, white, blue, yellow and black.  Contact http://www.standardgolf.com or SG Express at 866-743-9773.

Bri-Mar offers new fold-down dump trailers

Bri-Mar says its new DT610-DP and DT712-DP Deckover dump trailers give truck owners a solution to both flatbed and dumping needs.

Contractors and do-it-yourselfers can transport mulch, lumber and pallets of paving stone, all with one piece of equipment.

The unit's 20-inch hinged, fold-down sides permit loading palletized material quickly and easily with the entire dump-to-trailer transformation taking only 30 seconds. Positioning of the wheels underneath the deck on both models allows for greater maneuverability in confined areas.  A 33" deck height enables dumped loads to clear the deck more effectively.

Standard features also include a full-length tarp rail and a seven-way RV plug. Bri-Mar's signature Valspar powder coat finish is available in a choice of six colors:  black, red, gray, yellow, green or blue.  Removal of material is made possible by a one-piece tailgate with chains.  As with other Bri-Mar products, the Dump Trailer comes standard with a two-year warranty.

Optional features include a spare tire and mount, tarp kit, on- board battery charger, wireless remote, and a combination gate (dump under and split).  For even more volume, owners may purchase 24" side and tailgate extensions and board gusset kits.

Aloft insecticide gets California registration

Arysta LifeScience says its Aloft insecticide is now registered for use in California.

The company claims Aloft is the only product to provide both quick knockdown on multiple life stages of early-season adults and surface-feeding pests, and systemic activity for season-long residual control of all white grubs.

The product comes in both granular and advanced SC liquid polymeric formulations with highly developed dispersant and spreading agents for improved application. Contact http://www.arystalifescience.com.

Cover-All announces new Gemini buildings

Cover-All Building Systems, manufacturer of steel-frame tension-membrane buildings, is offering a series of buildings that it says are the next evolution in its product portfolio.

Gemini Building Series is offered in clear-span widths of 70 to 140 feet at 10 foot increments and is available to any length. The tall side wall can easily accommodate a 12 foot overhead door. The integrated eave system can be expanded to 4 feet to fit most applications. Gemini trusses are constructed of square steel tubing and utilize round structural webbing to brace the inner and outer cords. It features the deepest truss on any Cover-All building and is said to meet building codes worldwide.

The unique properties of Cover-All buildings’ fabric-membrane allow natural light inside the building creating an atmosphere like the outdoors and reducing electrical costs. There are no interior support poles or posts for maximum unobtrusive space and a typical building can be installed in weeks.
