KemperSports announces management changes

Steve Lesnik, co-founder and chief executive officer of KemperSports, turned over the position of CEO to Steve Skinner, president and COO, effective March 1.

Lesnik said that with Skinner assuming the duties of chief executive officer, president Josh Lesnik will continue to focus on overseeing all development, operations, and marketing activities at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort as well as supervising other KemperSports partnerships with Bandon Dunes owner Mike Keiser. Steve Lesnik also will be the senior executive responsible for industry relations and golf competitions on behalf of the company.  

Burke named Bayer imidacloprid business manager

Joe Burke has been named business manager of imidacloprid products for Bayer Environmental Science.

He will have marketing responsibility for Merit insecticide, Allectus insecticide, CoreTect insecticide and all other green industry imidacloprid products.

Burke has worked for Bayer and its predecessor companies since 2000, when he joined Aventis Corp. as a financial planning and analysis manager. He was controller and manager of commercial service from 2002 through 2007. Before that Burke worked for Timeplex Group in New Jersey for nine years.

Grigg Brothers hire Fultz

Grigg Brothers Foliar Fertilizers has added Charlie Fultz, GCSAA Class A member, to its technical staff.

He has been in the course maintenance business since 1992, having worked as a course superintendent in Virginia for the past 13 years. Most recently he was at Shenvalee Golf Resort in New Market, Va. Before that he was superintendent at the Country Club of Culpepper.

Davis Joins Seago

Don Davis has joined Seago International Inc. as a manufacturer’s representative for all equipment distributed by the company. His territory will include Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle
Davis has nearly 20 years of experience in the turf industry.
