How to start a student chapter
Interested in forming a GCSAA student chapter at your college or university?
A student chapter provides an opportunity for you to experience leadership. It is also a link between you and members of GCSAA affiliated chapters in your region. By participating in a student chapter you will shape your expectations and receive an understanding of the importance of professionalism, continuing education and other attributes that are key to becoming a successful golf course superintendent.
A student chapter provides an opportunity for you to network with peers and professionals in the field, promotes golf course management as a profession, instills ethics and supplies an understanding of the golf course management cultural environment. A student chapter can provide a steady ground for you to interact through educational and social programs. Most of all, it will provide you with a transition from your academic environment to the workplace.
