How to use this handbook
An organization must depend on its leadership to make it worthwhile. Leaders of a group must work closely with other people, watching and directing various activities. Hopefully, all of the members of the organization are willing to take an active part. The president and officers cannot do it alone. The success of the group depends on everyone becoming involved in planning the direction and activities of the organization. This handbook defines the “how.” How people can become effective leaders, and how they lead. This handbook is designed to help the officers of the student chapter prepare for their leadership positions and to serve as a reference. Use this handbook to:
- guide the structuring of the student chapter.
- build and direct the leadership team.
- help the officers and members learn and develop new skills.
- motivate the members to actively participate.
