First, on Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. (CST) Debbie Swartz, who works for Michigan State University and the Michigan Department of Agriculture, will answer the question, "Why Doesn't Everyone Use Environmentally Preferred Products?" while she outlines strategies that will help you compare products and evaluate their environmental impact and real cost. Then, Greg Lyman, GCSAA's director of environmental programs, will help you understand the cost of inaction Dec. 20 at noon (CST) during his webcast, Environmental Risk Assessment. Lyman's course will lead you through a method of evaluating the potential risk to natural resources on your property and how to ensure you provide the needed level of protection. You’ll also learn how you can plan ahead to avoid missteps and the related penalties.
