While
you’re busy with summer maintenance, GCSAA
is too. To provide you with a better
learning environment, GCSAA will be upgrading
its webcast system server this month. As a
result, there will be a server black-out period
from July 10 to July 25; live and ON DEMAND webcasts
will not be available during this time.
Ongoing
relief fund established. The Environmental
Institute for Golf and GCSAA would like to thank
all the donors who contributed to the Hurricane
Disaster Relief fund. Donations totaled more than
$130,000 and provided financial assistance to
more than 50 GCSAA members and their families
affected by the devastation of hurricanes Katrina,
Rita and Wilma. The new Emergency Relief Fund
is designed to assist members when disaster and/or
an emergency strikes. Learn

GCSAA members
eligible for USGA's "Rule of the Week."
All GCSAA Class A and Superintendent Members are
eligible for a one-year complimentary
USGA membership, with benefits such as an
annual subscription to Inside the USGA
and the USGA Championship Annual and U.S. Open
program publications. USGA also offers joining
GCSAA members access to a weekly e-feature, "Rule
of the Week" from the "Rules of Golf."
Action learning
is planned, affordable, on-the-job learning.
It is a process for gaining new knowledge
and skills at work. If you're planning a
project this summer, why not turn it into
an education opportunity? By following GCSAA's
Action Learning plan, you can convert your
time on the job to valuable education points
toward your GCSAA member classification.
