Follow GCM 's blog this week. GCM Editor Scott Hollister is in Moline, Ill., this week for the John Deere Classic pro-am at TPC Deere Run, and GCM Senior Associate Editor Seth Jones is in Tahoe for the star-studded American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. Check GCM's blog daily for updates from our intrepid travelers and parting thoughts from GCSAA staffer Ray Buckingham who served on the maintenance crew last week during the U.S. Senior Open at Prairie Dunes.

Take it on or bid it out? See this month's issue of GCM for "Whose job is it, anyway" a full-length feature on the issues surrounding the use of contractors for course projects. You'll also find a feature on a group of superintendents who traveled 1,300 miles to help beleaguered courses in New Orleans. View the entire issue.

Check out the 2007 Solution Centers planned for Anaheim. Visit www.golfindustryshow.com today and throughout the summer for information on the 2007 Solution Centers and updates on other GIS programs and events.

Provide input on Bayleton fungicide. Bayleton (triadimefon) is currently undergoing reregistration by the EPA. To best represent user need, Bayer is requesting input on the importance of this fungicide to superintendents for disease control. Information you provide will allow Bayer and GCSAA to address any restrictions or changes proposed by the EPA.

Are you and your staff meeting customer expectations? Quality customer service can make the difference between a golfer visiting once or becoming a lifelong course patron and advocate.
