Watch your local news for GCSAA video. GCSAA has produced a video news release (VNR) that was distributed to more than 900 television and cable outlets in advance of the U.S. Open. The goal of the VNR is to communicate the value golf courses provide to communities, the work of The Environmental Institute for Golf and the expertise of GCSAA golf course superintendents.

Apply for 2006 GCSAA/Golf Digest Environmental Leaders in Golf Awards. Earn recognition for your hard work. GCSAA is now accepting applications for the 2006 ELGAs. Applications will be evaluated in the five categories identified in the application: resource conservation, water quality management, integrated pest management, wildlife/habitat management and education/outreach.
Self-promotion. If you're a seasoned superintendent, it's important to know and communicate the benefits of your experience to current or potential employers.
The focus of this session will be on taking a proactive approach to promoting your golf course, your profession and your staff. Jeff Bollig, GCSAA director of communications, will teach you how to communicate to a variety of audiences the value your course provides to the community from an environmental, economic and recreational perspective.
