Superintendents, GCSAA go Prime Time. PGA Tour professionals Retief Goosen and Gary McCord took on all comers at the 2006 People vs. The Pros competition earlier this fall at Pinehurst. As part of the event, which was sponsored by BASF, superintendents participated in a separate competition – the Superintendent Cup – for a chance to win prizes. The tournament will be aired 7-9 p.m. (EST) Tuesday, Oct. 17, on ESPN2.
ELGA application deadline nearing. Earn recognition for your environmental efforts -- apply for the Environmental Leaders in Golf Awards presented by GCSAA and Golf Digest. Keith J. Karnok, Ph.D., a GCSAA faculty member since 1998, has more than 30 years experience researching cool- and warm-season turfgrasses.
