Tomorrow: Join the online chat on GCSAA's proposed dues strategy. A live, online chat is scheduled 11 a.m. to noon (CST) tomorrow, Sept. 6 -- don't miss the chance to ask questions and provide input on the proposed pricing concept for GCSAA membership dues.

Students: Applications for the Dr. James Watson Fellowship Program are due next month. Up to four $5,000 fellowships are awarded each year to students pursuing master's or doctoral degrees in fields related to golf course management. Applications are due Oct. 1.

GCSAA wants you! The association is currently recruiting volunteers for 2007 committees and task groups. Consider sharing your talents and experience with the association and apply today.

Western regional seminar: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, Honolulu, Hawaii
Successful Project Management

Participants in this seminar will learn a real-world approach to planning and managing successful projects on the golf course from Bruce R. Williams, CGCS, past president of GCSAA, and director of golf courses and grounds at The Los Angeles Country Club. Williams is a highly rated speaker and instructor for GCSAA, the PGA and regional turf conferences.

GCSAA education programs are funded by The Environmental Institute for Golf. Regional seminars are presented in partnership with Jacobsen, a Textron Co., and webcasts are presented in partnership with Syngenta Professional Products.
