Sifford to receive association's highest honor. Charles L. Sifford, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and the first African-American to play on the PGA Tour, has been selected to receive GCSAA's 2007 Old Tom Morris Award.

Association seeks survey participants. GCSAA will be conducting five surveys between October 2006 and March 2007 to gather data that will be used to advance the golf course management profession. All Class A and Superintendent Members are being asked to participate. The total time to take all five surveys should not exceed two hours, and all surveys can be completed online from the location of your choice. GCSAA will award 0.25 service points for each completed survey. Qualified members will receive a letter from President Sean A. Hoolehan, CGCS, at the end of this month with more information about the surveys, their timing and their purpose.
