Urgent: Member comments needed on EPA decision to ban PCNB and MSMA. The EPA has stated that it intends to ban all turf uses of PCNB and organic arsenical herbicides (MSMA, DSMA, and CAMA). GCSAA will be submitting comments to EPA in support of the continued registration and use of PCNB and MSMA on golf courses. GCSAA members have until Oct. 2 to submit comments to EPA on the importance of PCNB for the control of pink and gray snow mold. The deadline to submit comments on the use of MSMA to the federal docket is Oct. 10. The action alert links listed above provide background information and instruction on how to craft and submit comments.

Keep a lookout for the 2007 GIS and GCSAA Education Conference brochure. A brochure detailing all the events surrounding the February 2007 conference and show in Anaheim will be mailed with the October issue of GCM. Start planning now -- member registration opens next week.
