5K fun run set for Feb. 9 during Golf Industry Show in Orlando

Profits to support GCSAA’s Environmental Institute for Golf

Lawrence, Kan. (Dec. 13, 2016) —A Health In Action 5K fun run, presented by HeritageAction, will be held at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, before the doors open for the final day of the Golf Industry Show in Orlando. The race will start at the Hyatt Regency Orlando and it is open to all GIS registrants. The cost is $25, with all profits benefitting the Environmental Institute for Golf, the philanthropic arm of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

You can register for the fun run at the same time you register for GIS, or you can register on site at the Orange County Convention Center during normal business hours through Wednesday, Feb. 8.

The Health In Action 5K was created to encourage active and healthy lifestyles for those working in the golf management profession. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and drawstring bag. The top three overall male and female finishers will receive GCSAA gift certificates provided by Heritage Action.
