Rounds 4 Research (R4R) is set to go live on April 25.
For those not familiar with R4R, this is an innovative program which funds research, helps ensure golf’s future and gives money back to local GCSAA chapters and turf foundations. Courses support R4R by donating rounds of golf which are auctioned online. 80% of funds generated from the auction go directly to the local chapter. It’s a no-brainer to raise money for your local chapter, support our industry and at the same time provide some valuable marketing for your facility.
Over 1,500 registered bidders from 48 states and 14 countries, placed nearly 10,000 bids on 1,100 rounds, which raised nearly $336,500 in 2021. R4R has now raised over $2 million since its inception in 2012.
The Rounds 4 Research program is addressing a critical shortage of funding for ongoing, university-based agronomic research, education, advocacy programs and course operations. You can help the cause by donating a round from your course to R4R today.
The Great Lakes’ own Dan Francis, superintendent at Wildwood Golf Club in Middletown, Ohio, and 7-year GCSAA Class A member put together a message for fellow superintendents. Enjoy!
