Neal provided great leadership and enthusiasm to both chapters
This blog is certainly one that I’m not enjoying writing. As most of you know, Hi-Lo and Southern California Chapter Executive Cyndy Neal has resigned her position effective March 31.
Over the past seven years, I have really enjoyed the opportunity to get to know Cyndy and work with her on behalf of both chapters. Over the years, we have collaborated on numerous strategic planning sessions, a tri-chapter board retreat and, most recently, the Southern California Tri-Chapter Turf Conference that was held this past July in Temecula, Calif.
In her 17 years of service to the chapters, Cyndy has always put the members and sponsors best needs ahead of her own while at the same time being a great representative of the golf maintenance industry throughout Southern California.
She was always willing to work with me and make sure that I felt welcome at chapter functions when I was new to the region. I will forever be grateful for that as well as her friendship and years of service to not only the chapters but also GCSAA.
Something you probably don’t know is that Cyndy and I share the same alma mater, the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Win with the Rebels a victory today!

From mountains that surround you to far across the sea
We'll win with the Rebels of UNLV.
U-N-L-V UNLV Go, Fight Win.
We'll win with the Rebels of UNLV.
Just another reason to love Cyndy!
I wish nothing but the best for you and excited for the opportunities that the future may hold. Your contributions to the chapters, industry, and GCSAA will be sorely missed but you have left an enduring legacy and a solid foundation for whoever follows in your large footsteps. Best of luck!
