Online video series will focus on crew education
Lawrence, Kan. (Feb. 11, 2025) – The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) is launching video training that will focus on basic concepts for crew members. The GCSAA Video Training Series will debut in May with 11 crew-based videos on topics such as cup cutting, greens mowing and general introduction to a golf course. The videos will be available on gcsaa.org and free to GCSAA members.
The videos are part of GCSAA’s workforce development programs to help superintendents attract, train and retain employees.
“Finding and keeping qualified labor continues to be a challenge for the golf course management industry,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said. “The GCSAA Video Training Series is one of the ways we are helping superintendents build and support their teams.”
After the initial crew series launches, additional series are planned covering other facets of golf course management and maintenance.
