Turfco Manufacturing Co. donated $5,000 to The Environmental Institute for Golf (EIFG), the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA).
Turfco has pledged to donate an additional dollar to the EIFG for every superintendent who enters Turfco's anniversary giveaway.
"Turfco is celebrating 50 years of topdressing by making a donation to the EIFG," said Scott Kinkead, Turfco executive vice president. "We are making this donation on behalf of the hundreds of superintendents who have helped Turfco continually develop innovative topdressers with unprecedented flexibility, performance and control."
With this grant Turfco joins the Platinum Tee Club for donors who contribute $5,000 or more to the EIFG annually. Turfco is a Silver Partner in GCSAA's Partner Recognition Program and is also recognized at the Executive Club level of the EIFG's cumulative giving program for donors who have contributed between $25,000 and $49,999 since 1987.
