NovaSource expands fungicide recall
NovaSource is expanding its recall of two fungicides that it produces — ArmorTech ALT70 and Viceroy 70DF.In June, the manufacturer announced that it was recalling certain batches of those two off-patent fungicides, distributed by United Turf Alliance and United Phosphorous Inc., respectively, following reports of turf damage to bentgrass/Poa annua greens, collars and surrounds at golf courses along the East Coast. The latest announcement expands that recall to cover all stocks of those two products, regardless of their production dates and batch numbers.
WOTUS rule finalized
The EPA and Army of Corps of Engineers published the final Clean Water Rule in the Federal Register on June 29, which defines the scope of waters protected under the Clean Water Act. The rule will impact activities on golf courses in, over or near these newly defined “waters of the U.S.” The rule is effective Aug. 28, 2015. GCSAA is reviewing the final rule and plans to create a webinar so members can learn more about the implications of the rule on golf course properties.
