GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans, GCSAA Vice President Sandy Queen, CGCS, and GCSAA Secretary/Treasurer Pat Finlen, CGCS, met with USGA officials Friday, Feb. 3, at its annual meeting in Houston. GCSAA leaders discussed environmental issues, growing the game and collaborative activities between the two organizations. The meeting "...affords us the opportunity to bring staff and volunteer leadership of both organizations together to have conversation. There is no doubt the USGA has a great respect and appreciation for GCSAA members," Evans said.

GCSAA is now seeking proposals for several education formats for the 2013 Education Conference: seminars, sessions, workshops and panels. We offer programs that are 20-30 minutes, 2, 4, 6 and 8 hours in length. If you're interested in teaching or speaking for GCSAA, please submit a proposal based on your desired length of presentation by March 30. Questions? Email us.

Seeking input on maintenance budget survey
We're seeking your help on a project that can benefit you. An email was recently sent to A and SM members in the U.S. with a survey on maintenance budgets. The survey results will allow you to compare your operations against regional and national averages, plus, if you complete the survey, you'll earn .25 service points. A capital/labor budget survey is coming later this month. Please take a few moments to complete these surveys!
