Delegates gather for 17th annual meeting
Delegates representing 95 chapters met Oct. 9-11 at GCSAA headquarters in Lawrence, Kan., and in Kansas City, Mo., for the annual Chapter Delegates Meeting. Attendees were updated on the association’s current programs and future initiatives, and met the candidates for the 2010 GCSAA board of directors. Emerging leaders participate in GCSAA Leadership Academy
Twenty-five superintendents attended the second annual GCSAA Leadership Academy, Sept. 9-10 at GCSAA headquarters in Lawrence, Kan. The class participated in sessions aimed at developing leadership skills and becoming better informed about GCSAA programs and services. Final week for Environmental Leaders in Golf Awards
Applications for the 2009 GCSAA/Golf Digest Environmental Leaders in Golf Awards are due by Oct. 18. National winners will be determined from the top public, private, resort and international applicants. From the national winners, an overall winner will be announced, and chapter and merit prizes are also awarded. Chapter awards are given to each chapter’s applicant who has the highest score and who is not a national winner.
