Superintendent salaries continue steady increase
According to the 2015 GCSAA Compensation and Benefits Report, the average salary for head golf course superintendent climbed 3.2 percent to $85,204 from 2013, continuing the trend of increases in every two-year period since GCSAA began tracking the data in 1993. For certified superintendents, the increase was even higher. Their average salary rose 5.9 percent in the last two years to $103,993.
GCSAA Scholars Competition deadline approaching
Scholarships ranging from $500 to $6,000 are available through the GCSAA Scholars Competition to GCSAA members enrolled in a recognized undergraduate program in a major field related to turf management. Applicants must have completed at least 24 credit hours or the equivalent of one year of full-time study in the appropriate major. If you or someone you know fits the bill, apply by the June 1 deadline.
