WOTUS rule finalized
The EPA and Army of Corps of Engineers published the final Clean Water Rule in the Federal Register on June 29, defining the scope of waters protected under the Clean Water Act. The rule will impact activities on golf courses in, over or near these newly defined “waters of the U.S.” The rule is effective Aug. 28, 2015. GCSAA is reviewing the final rule and plans to create a webinar so members can learn more about the implications of the rule on golf course properties.
Recall issued for ALT 70, Viceroy fungicides
NovaSource, which manufactures both ArmorTech ALT 70 and Viceroy 70DF fungicides, announced it is recalling all 2013 production batches of the two products, sold and distributed by United Turf Alliance (UTA) and UPI, respectively. The manufacturer indicted that laboratory investigation and testing had revealed the fungicides had been contaminated with the herbicide sulfometuron methyl.
