Certified superintendents value professional recognition
Approximately 1,400 GCSAA members currently hold the designation Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS). The program was founded in 1971 to recognize superintendents who have met stringent requirements to earn this highest level of achievement in golf course management. “It was important to me 40 years ago, and it’s important to me now,” said 49-year member Ted Horton, CGCS.
