Task Group Meeting

Task group advises GCSAA on chapter executive staff support

The Chapter Executives Task Group met May 15-16 to discuss how to strengthen the chapter executive’s position in being able to effectively serve members.

The task group:

  • Discussed enhancing the GCSAA/chapter partnership to serve shared members
  • Identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for chapter executives and GCSAA
  • Reviewed the GCSAA and Class A Positioning Campaign and new GCSAA logo. The task group discussed opportunities for chapters to unify with the newly adopted logo and benefit from the positioning campaign
  • Developed programming for the Chapter Executives Session at the 2008 GCSAA Education Conference and Golf Industry Show in Orlando
  • Shared intelligence regarding best practices among their chapters and discussed how to encourage all chapter executives to share ideas through GCSAA’s online networking tools
  • Received a field staff update
  • Discussed how chapter executives and GCSAA can work together on membership recruitment and retention efforts.
