GCSA of New Jersey president, William E. Murray, CGCS, superintendent
at Shark River Park Golf Course in Neptune, NJ knows the importance
of growing the game of golf. “We want to make sure the
game of golf remains strong. One way to do this is to keep
new players coming on board. That’s why the board felt
we needed to support the Get Golf Ready program.” Murray
said.
The GCSANJ recently became the first GCSAA affiliated chapter
to support the Get Golf Ready program, an industry wide initiative
organized by the World Golf Foundation to connect adults to
the sport of golf. The program features five introductory
lessons for $99. GCSANJ became a par level sponsor by donating
$1,000 a year for the next three years.
