    Keith A. Ihms, CGCS, was elected GCSAA president at the association's annual meeting Feb. 6 in Orlando, Fla. John J. O'Keefe, CGCS, was elected vice president, and Peter J. Grass, CGCS, was elected secretary/treasurer.

House passes 2014 Farm Bill excluding federal permit relief

The U.S. House of Representatives approved a $956 billion farm bill Jan. 29 in a bipartisan vote. Unfortunately, the bill did not include the relief GCSAA was seeking from the EPA’s new federal Clean Water Act permit for chemical spraying activities.
