Conference Education
Q: How is the education program developed?
A: Conference education programming is developed with the help of the Conference Education Committee, which consists of superintendent, assistant superintendent, and university faculty members. Topics needed in the curriculum are solicited and selected through the Call for Presentations process for sessions, such as the Innovative, Research Solutions and Coffee Talk with the Experts, and through the Request for Proposals for seminars, for which a separate fee is charged. All submittals are reviewed and rated by the committee. Those that are most relevant to the planned sessions and seminars, and highly rated by the committee are selected.
Q: How can I become a speaker?
A: The annual conference Call for Presentations launches the first week of January and continues through the first week of March. Submittal forms can be found in the Education section of gcsaa.org during that time. You are welcome to submit as many topics as you'd like. Those selected to present at the conference receive complimentary full-package registration and .25 service points for their participation.
