About the instructor
Rich Deming is senior partner at Calor Energy, a solar energy project developer. He earned a master’s degree from the University of Missouri, certifications for solar PV and thermal systems from North Carolina State University and is working toward a master's degree in environmental management at Duke University. Deming sits on a wide variety of boards at energy-related organizations and has been active in educating the public about renewable energy for many years. He is a regular speaker/moderator at the annual UNC BioEnergy Symposium and the NC Military Business forum, and has developed solar training curriculum and taught courses at several community colleges. Deming is currently writing a book related to the changing nature of the renewables business environment.
